About These Terms
These terms apply to all work carried out by John Downes Garage UK Ltd and to the use of our website. By booking work with us or using this site, you agree to these terms.
Quotes and Pricing
Any prices given before we inspect your vehicle are estimates only. The final price may change if additional faults or work are found during inspection. Where this happens, we will contact you to explain and agree the additional work before proceeding wherever possible.
Work and Authorisation
By leaving your vehicle with us you authorise us to carry out the agreed work and any reasonable checks necessary to complete it safely. We will always seek your approval before undertaking significant additional work or cost.
Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work, before the vehicle is collected, unless otherwise agreed in advance. We accept the payment methods displayed at the garage.
Parts and Guarantees
We use quality parts appropriate to your vehicle. Parts may carry their own manufacturer guarantee. Our workmanship is carried out to a professional standard; if you have any concern about work we have done, contact us as soon as possible so we can put it right.
Liability
We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. We are not liable for pre-existing faults or for issues unrelated to the work we carried out.
Vehicle Collection
Please collect your vehicle promptly once notified that work is complete. Vehicles left for extended periods after completion may be subject to storage charges.

We aim to provide an excellent service. If something isn't right, please contact us using the details below and we will do our best to resolve it quickly and fairly.
